The Motherhood Museum
A living, breathing archive of what it means to mother.
The Motherhood Museum is not a place of glass cases or silence — it is a gathering of stories, held softly in image and word. A space built from shared breath, shared tears, shared becoming. Here, we honour the everyday sacred — the tenderness of feeding, the wildness of birth, the echo of grief, the strength in stillness, the beauty in bloom.
These are not just sessions, but offerings. A collective remembering. A visual and emotional tapestry stitched together by mothers who’ve stood where you stand — in love, in loss, in growth.
Through solo portraits, group circles, gifted sessions, and storytelling spaces, the Motherhood Museum invites you to witness the many seasons of motherhood — and perhaps, to find your own reflection within them.
This is a museum not of things, but of feelings. Of skin-to-skin. Of soil and soul. Of roots, wings, and everything in between.
Welcome in.
The Motherhood Project
The Motherhood Project began as a dream to gather mothers together — not just for portraits, but for a moment of recognition, unity, and celebration. It was about capturing the beauty of this season of life, the weight and wonder of it, and the way it feels when we stand side by side in our shared stories.
Part One unfolded at Jingili Water Gardens, where over thirty mothers and their little ones came together beneath the trees. Laughter carried across the grass, babies were cradled close, and friendships bloomed as we documented the quiet strength and tenderness that lives within motherhood. It was less about posing, and more about simply being — surrounded by community, and witnessed in all the small, powerful ways we nurture.
A week later, Part Two took us to the shores of Casuarina Beach, where more than twenty mothers gathered at sunset. With the salt air on our skin and the waves rolling in, the portraits became something wilder — a reflection of the untamed, resilient spirit of mothers. There, by the water’s edge, we held space for both the softness and the strength, the calm and the chaos that this journey carries.
Together, these two gatherings created something bigger than photographs. They became a living archive — a story of mothers standing together, seen and celebrated, each one adding her voice to the collective heartbeat of motherhood.
Milk & Moments:
A Feeding Circle
Milk & Moments is a gathering created to honour one of the most intimate and fleeting chapters of motherhood — the act of nourishing our little ones. More than a photography session, it is a circle, a safe space where mothers come together, sit shoulder to shoulder, and feel seen in this sacred season.
Here, mothers feed their babies in whatever way is theirs — breast, bottle, expressed, or otherwise — and together we weave a tapestry of real, unfiltered stories. There is no expectation, no pressure, only presence. Laughter mingles with quiet tears, toddlers play at our feet, and babies rest in arms, each moment reminding us of the beauty in the everyday.
Through portraits and shared space, Milk & Moments becomes a gentle tribute to the bond between mother and child, and to the strength it takes to pour ourselves into our little ones. It is a celebration of nurture in all its forms — a reminder that however we feed, we are enough, and we are never alone.
