The Motherhood Museum
A living, breathing archive of what it means to mother.
The Motherhood Museum is not a place of glass cases or silence — it is a gathering of stories, held softly in image and word. A space built from shared breath, shared tears, shared becoming. Here, we honour the everyday sacred — the tenderness of feeding, the wildness of birth, the echo of grief, the strength in stillness, the beauty in bloom.
These are not just sessions, but offerings. A collective remembering. A visual and emotional tapestry stitched together by mothers who’ve stood where you stand — in love, in loss, in growth.
Through solo portraits, group circles, gifted sessions, and storytelling spaces, the Motherhood Museum invites you to witness the many seasons of motherhood — and perhaps, to find your own reflection within them.
This is a museum not of things, but of feelings. Of skin-to-skin. Of soil and soul. Of roots, wings, and everything in between.
Welcome in.

Milk & Moments:
A Feeding Circle
Milk & Moments is a gathering created to honour one of the most intimate and fleeting chapters of motherhood — the act of nourishing our little ones. More than a photography session, it is a circle, a safe space where mothers come together, sit shoulder to shoulder, and feel seen in this sacred season.
Here, mothers feed their babies in whatever way is theirs — breast, bottle, expressed, or otherwise — and together we weave a tapestry of real, unfiltered stories. There is no expectation, no pressure, only presence. Laughter mingles with quiet tears, toddlers play at our feet, and babies rest in arms, each moment reminding us of the beauty in the everyday.
Through portraits and shared space, Milk & Moments becomes a gentle tribute to the bond between mother and child, and to the strength it takes to pour ourselves into our little ones. It is a celebration of nurture in all its forms — a reminder that however we feed, we are enough, and we are never alone.
First Gathering…
The very first chapter of Milk & Moments unfolded in the shallow waters of Lake Alexander, where five breastfeeding mothers gathered with their little ones to celebrate a season of motherhood that so often passes in the blink of an eye.
Surrounded by water, gentle conversation and quiet moments of connection, we created a space where feeding wasn't hidden or hurried, but honoured for exactly what it is. A beautiful, ordinary act of love.
This collection is a reflection of that morning. A reminder that motherhood isn't measured by grand milestones alone, but by the countless small moments that sustain us every single day.
Second Gathering…
Our second gathering brought three beautiful mothers together along the shoreline of Casuarina Beach, where the rhythm of the waves became the backdrop to a quiet morning of connection.
There was no rush. Just salty air, tiny hands, shared stories and the gentle, everyday moments that so often define early motherhood. Together we celebrated the many ways mothers nurture their little ones, creating space for vulnerability, strength and the kind of connection that reminds us we're never walking this journey alone.
This collection preserves a morning that was simple, honest and full of heart. A small chapter in the growing story of Milk & Moments.
Third Gathering…
Beneath the shade of the trees at East Point, three mothers gathered with their little ones for another gentle chapter of Milk & Moments.
Each mother was breastfeeding, including one beautiful tandem feeding journey, reminding us that every path through motherhood is unique, yet deeply connected. Surrounded by birdsong, soft grass and unhurried conversation, we slowed down long enough to honour the quiet moments that so often pass unnoticed.
This collection celebrates nourishment, connection and the remarkable ways mothers continue to give of themselves, one feed, one cuddle and one moment at a time.
Fourth Gathering…
The fourth chapter of Milk & Moments welcomed ten beautiful mothers beneath the trees at the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens.
This gathering marked an important milestone for the project, becoming our first to celebrate all feeding journeys. Whether breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping or combination feeding, every mother was welcomed with the same intention: to create a space where nourishment, connection and motherhood could simply exist, free from comparison or expectation. Surrounded by lush gardens, shared stories and curious little explorers, the morning unfolded gently through conversation, laughter and the everyday moments that so often become the ones we treasure most.
This collection is a celebration of the many ways we nurture our children, and a reminder that while every journey looks different, each one is worthy of being seen, honoured and remembered.
Fifth Gathering…
Seven beautiful mothers gathered amongst the rolling sand dunes of Casuarina Beach for the fifth chapter of Milk & Moments.
Welcoming mothers from a variety of feeding journeys, this gathering continued to celebrate the many ways we nourish our little ones, creating space for connection, honesty and the quiet beauty found in everyday motherhood. This chapter also marked the first time artistic elements became part of the experience. Fresh blooms and delicate touches of gold leaf were woven throughout the session, adding another layer of symbolism while remaining true to the heart of the project.
A gentle reminder that motherhood, in all its forms, is both beautifully ordinary and profoundly precious. Held beneath open skies with the sea just beyond the dunes, this collection captures a morning of softness, strength and shared stories.
Come Sit in the Circle…
Feeding is more than nourishment. It is comfort, connection, rhythm, and quiet conversation without words. It changes with the seasons of motherhood, sometimes tender, sometimes strong, always deeply woven into the bond between you and your child.
These moments are fleeting, yet powerful. The way they reach for you. The way you hold them close. The stillness, the surrender, the love that lives in the in-between. There is a quiet kind of magic here.
If this season speaks to your heart, you are warmly invited to join a Milk & Moments Circle. A gentle space of connection, presence, and shared motherhood. Come as you are, in whatever season you are in. You will be held here.

The Motherhood Project
The Motherhood Project began as a dream to gather mothers together — not just for portraits, but for a moment of recognition, unity, and celebration. It was about capturing the beauty of this season of life, the weight and wonder of it, and the way it feels when we stand side by side in our shared stories.
Part One unfolded at Jingili Water Gardens, where over thirty mothers and their little ones came together beneath the trees. Laughter carried across the grass, babies were cradled close, and friendships bloomed as we documented the quiet strength and tenderness that lives within motherhood. It was less about posing, and more about simply being — surrounded by community, and witnessed in all the small, powerful ways we nurture.
A week later, Part Two took us to the shores of Casuarina Beach, where more than twenty mothers gathered at sunset. With the salt air on our skin and the waves rolling in, the portraits became something wilder — a reflection of the untamed, resilient spirit of mothers. There, by the water’s edge, we held space for both the softness and the strength, the calm and the chaos that this journey carries.
Together, these two gatherings created something bigger than photographs. They became a living archive — a story of mothers standing together, seen and celebrated, each one adding her voice to the collective heartbeat of motherhood.

A gift it Forward Series
A portrait passed from one mother to another.
Mother to Mother is a growing community project built on kindness, connection and the belief that every mother deserves to be seen. The journey begins with one gifted portrait session. At the end of her experience, that mother nominates another mother she feels deserves to be celebrated. She may be navigating a difficult season, quietly giving everything to her family, or simply someone whose story deserves to be honoured. The gift is then passed forward, creating an ever-growing chain of women lifting one another up.
Each portrait becomes part of a larger story. A reminder that motherhood isn't meant to be walked alone, and that sometimes the greatest gift we can give is to truly see one another. So far, this project has celebrated two incredible mothers, and the chain is now waiting for its next chapter.
Know a mother you'd love to nominate? I'd love to hear her story.
